August
10th: We loved every minute of our trip with Southeast Sea Kayaks
last year. We had such a good time we're going back this year. We did
the 4-hr Orca one last year, so we're doing a custom trip this year.
It sounds even better and it's very reasonably priced. Have fun with
them. You won't be sorry! June
17th 2004: We were thrilled to be with you last week in Ketchikan.
The weather you commanded was spectacular, as was Orca Cove and its
picture postcard island. Its bald eagles chattered and soared as if
on cue, and the remarkable sea life near shore was breathtaking. The
outing on the water was simply great and made better yet because of
your obvious and unvarnished friendliness from moment one on… Our day
with you in Ketchikan, perhaps just another tourist outing for you guys,
was a monumental day for us. Full of your kindness and Alaska's grandeur.
It is fair to say that it will not be forgotten. Thank you all so much!
Fred, Nicky, Ken and Margo Silverman June
28th 2004: We
just got back to Hawaii. We can't thank you enough for a wonderful introduction
to kayaking. You are worth your weight in gold. I shall pass your name
out to everyone I meet. Lanny and Mary Ann North August
2003: You folks are the greatest. My Mom and I had a great
trip to Alaska and so much of the sucess of the trip centered around
Mom's first kayak trip. (Mine too, but I'm not 78 years old!) You folks
just covered ALL the bases so smoothly and professionally that our worries
dissolved into the mist and we had a splendid trip! Your personnel are
so darn friendly and downright charming that we felt we were family
and at the very least special. Thank you from my whole heart! And Mom's
too! Carol Atkinson Howe. Seattle. June
1996: Kim & Greg! This was a great introduction to Southeast
Alaska and sea kayaking. I have developed a new passion, kayaking. Your
hospitality was wonderful. Our trip into the Misty Fjords could not
have been better. The weather, the wildlife and everything seemed to
be in our favor. Thanks again for everything. We had a wonderful time.
Jane Mitchell and Bill Frauenheim. Michigan. August 1996: Kayaking with Greg to Black Sands Beach was breath taking and quite entertaining! You are both great fun – good luck with all your ventures. Jerry and Shari Jenkins. California. September 1996: We’re wrapping up a month in Alaska by heading into the Misty Fjords for a few days of camping. Other Alaskan visitors note: get into the bush to see the real Alaska. Thanks to Kim and Greg for getting us off on our next adventure. There’s plenty of kayaking in Michigan if you’re ever in the Midwest! Andrea Kline and Paul Evanoff, Michigan. May 1997: Thanks for a perfect start to my dream holiday. I loved every minute of my stay in Ketchikan. I consider myself very fortunate to have met you. I always had a great feeling about Ketchikan, even before leaving home. To sum up my two days here would be: Ketchikan – Beautiful one day, perfect the next. Thank you for everything. Rachel. UK. June 1997: Kayaking with you two was one of the biggest highlights of our trip. We had no idea how beautiful the water life (starfish, pacific suns stars) could be. Kayaking past the cruise ships was pretty awesome. Your advice on what to wear, things to do and places to see was right on the button. Your wonderful hospitality and great company were deeply appreciated. We hope to return. Pat and Wally Knepper, Pennsylvania. June 1997: We came for a few days and I’m already hoping to be back someday for a longer stay. I’d never even considered getting in a kayak before but I’m thinking now of getting one. You both have such infectious enthusiasm! Geraldine Fray. San Francisco June 1997: Thanks so much for the great wilderness experience! Misty Fjords really is a jewel. Kim and Greg, you went a step higher to organize our journey so it would be top notch. Greg, Grant and Brian Hanson, California. June 1997: Thanks for everything. Our trip to Jordan Lake was especially memorable. The dolphins, seals, eagles, deer, otters and the bear, and of course “shooting” the rapids on the way out made for a memorable adventure! We’ll be back. Bee and Bernie July 1997: Thank you for making our first vacation together a truly memorable experience. You had us hooked on kayaking from the moment we first took off from the dock. Thanks for helping us set up our week in Misty Fjords – what a week is was! Seals, eagles and two bears. Too bad we didn’t see a whale, though that’s just one reason to return. We’re looking forward to many more visits with our new friends. Valerie and Wayne Brainerd, Colorado. July 1997: The kayak trip was marvelous. We had never done this and enjoyed it so much. We are now going to start kayaking on our own. Alaska is great and ya’ll make it even better. Sharon Simmons and Bert Neese, South Carolina. August 1998: Well this will be a summer we will always remember. During the 3 months we’ve spent paddling the coast from Vancouver, we’ve been touched many times by people’s kindness to us. You guys were no exception. It was a very comforting feeling to know there would be someone in Ketchikan at our journey’s end who would truly understand what it was to have paddled 600 miles. Thanks also for storing our gear. We hope you have much pleasure from our kayaks; they were wonderful boats to us. They brought us by whales, eagles, seals, otters and minks. They took us to white sand beaches, rocky barnacle shores – even slippery, stone slopes. Through rain and shine, wind and waves they have held and protected us. We hope all who paddle them will return having had a wonderful time. We surely did. Jim and Michelle Wiebe. Canmore, Canada. Jim and Michelle sold us their kayaks after their 3 month trip from Vancouver to Ketchikan. May 1999: Enjoyed the kayaking. I’ll wear my Southeast Sea Kayaks T-shirt with fond memories. Robert Duhnke, Arizona. June 1999: I loved being surrounded by the haunting perfume of the sea, watching the mist rise over the mountains and lingering by coves along the island. Sea kayaking was a high. Christine, Oregon. May 2000: The sea kayak adventure was “the best”! Mary and Mark Robertson, New Hampshire. June 2000: I had a great day kayaking while my wife and friend climbed Deer Mountain. What a great place (a touch of paradise!!). Allan Manton, Australia. August 2001: The kayaking was a total blast and I’ll always remember it. So when I’m an old fisherman telling my grandchildren the tales of my life, kayaking in Alaska will be one of them. Special memories made! Rick Australia. June 2001: Kayaking with you was the highlight of our trip, the guides were excellent. Melinda and Rick Tasswell, Oregon. May 2002: Our excursion with you was one of the best experiences we had in Alaska. Thank you for showing us your Alaska! Rick Schiffner,. USA. June 2002: I really enjoyed our adventures on June 13th! I think you made our Ketchikan experience the best! I plan to send good whale and kayak pictures soon. Thanks for a wonderful time! I plan to tell all of our friends about how great your company is! Joe and Melissa Tesney, USA. July 2002: "My husband, Bill and I, went kayaking with you on July 13th 2002. It seems so long ago now that we are back in Pennsylvania. We had such a wonderful time paddling. We saw the breaching whales across the water. What a beautiful and special sight. I enjoyed it so much that I am now interested in purchasing a kayak for my husband for his birthday. I want a tandem one so we can go together. Can you help? We wished we could have kayaked for longer with you. WHEN we come back we will definitely look you up and go for a longer trip. Dorothea Graham, USA. August 2002: I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful time I had kayaking with your company. It will be an experience I will not forget. The Eagles we saw and the whale that came up seemed to happen on cue and was breath taking!!! It could not have been planned any better (whoops I almost forgot the deer on the beach). Everyone on board the cruise ship who went whale watching saw nothing and we’re sorry they missed your adventure. Next time up to Alaska I'll be coming back for more! I'm telling everyone about Southeast Sea Kayaks, and that it was the high point of my excursions. Again, thanks and hope to see you again soon. Ken Chase, USA. |
