Ketchikan is located on an island and no roads connect it to the mainland. The only way here is by land or sea. The simplest and quickest way is to fly with Alaska Airlines direct from Seattle. They are the only commercial passenger air service into Ketchikan and flights are limited. you arrive you will actually land on neighboring Gravina Island and you will then
have to cross the Tongass Narrows by ferry to Revillagigedo Island. The ferry

Backpackers and budget travelers can stretch out sleeping bags on the sun chairs in the covered and heated solarium. Ketchikan is also accessible by ferry from Prince Rupert in British Columbia. way north is to take the ferry from Vancouver, British Columbia or from Port Angeles,
Washington to Victoria, Vancouver Island. You can drive to Port Hardy and from
there catch the Canadian ferry to Prince Rupert and from there connect to the
