Choosing A Kayak
There is a baffling array of choices available for people interested in purchaing a kayak. Southeast Sea Kayaks has been kayaking in Ketchikan for over 15 years and we have tested all kinds of kayaks. In our retail store, we sell only the kayaks that we like to paddle and know are suited to use in our local waters. Come and visit or call and ask us questions: our knowledgable staff can help you narrow down your choices and explain the benefits of different kayak models. The very best way to buy a kayak is to try a few and see what you like, so stop by and take a test paddle: we have a wide variety of models available to try out.

We love selling Current Designs Kayaks because they are quality kayaks, made in the USA and there is a Current Designs kayak to suit every person and paddling interest. In addition to the kayaks that we have in stock, we can also special order any kayak from Current Designs extensive line. Stop by our store for a test paddle. If you do not see a Current Designs kayak you like, we also do special orders from Necky Kayaks, Northwestern Kayaks and Delta Kayaks.

Advanced Elements Inflatable Kayaks
The Advanced Elements kayaks are tough, comfortable, easy to set up, very stable and completely portable. At only 36lbs for the 10 foot model, these kayaks are perfect for floatplane trips or storing aboard boats and are also an economical first kayak for people interested in beginning kayaking. We a range of paddles, lifejackets, spray skirts, drybags, roof racks and kayak carts in stock and are happy to special order items from any of the above brands.

Annual Used Kayak Sale
Southeast Sea Kayaks sells used kayaks and gear each September. For 2011 our End of Season Sale will be Saturday September 10th. Used kayaks sell very quickly. Join our locals email list to receive the pre-sale list on September 1st and have first chance at great end of season deals.
