Ketchikan is renowned for great fishing and you won't find better or more experienced guides for catching halibut and bottom fish than our friends at Baranof Fishing Excursions. If you want to catch a halibut in Alaska and have fun, this is the company to choose. Baranof Fishing Excursions is owned and operated by third generation Alaskans and is located right next door to Southeast Sea Kayaks at the Alaska Fish House Marina at the end of Main Street.

Captain Jared Oien specializes in 4 - 6 hour salmon fishing charters for visitors from cruise ships, independent travelers and locals. Born and raised in Alaska, Jared is a great guide and has years of experience fishing for salmon in the waters around Ketchikan.

Alaska Seaplane Tours

Alaska Seaplane Tours is a local, family owned business whose experienced pilots who love to share their Alaska with guests. Alaska Seaplane Tours fly Misty Fjords and Bearviewing tours as well as fly out fishing trips and charters to USFS Cabins. They also rent camping kits with all the essentials for cabin trips.

If you are looking for a place to eat after kayaking, look no further than the Alaska Fish House which is right at the top of the ramp to our dock, next to the Salmon Landing. A favorite with locals, the Alaska Fish House serves up local seafood including crab legs, awesome chowder, fish sandwiches, and (according to our ever hungry kayak guides,) the best french fries in Ketchikan.
